Kelly and John's Intimate Wedding at Kraft Azalea Garden

Kelly and John had one of the sweetest weddings I have ever been a part of and a sweet love story to go along with it. They met at work, they worked in separate departments but saw each other in a meeting where both of their departments were represented. As the weeks went on they both kept attending the meetings hoping the other would be there. One day the meet was cancelled and John asked Kelly out on their first date.

To propose John had to chase her across the country. Kelly was sent to Hawaii for two months with her job. John took two weeks off in the middle of go and visit and brought the ring with him. He told me "I proposed to her immediately when we saw each other, I didn't want to wait another minute".

Their wedding was on a Sunday morning at Kraft Azalea Garden in Winter Park, Florida. They kept things intimate by having only their parents and a few close relatives in attendance including John's daughter Ava. One of the sweet moments of their ceremony was when they gave Ava a necklace that had the same inscription that is inside their wedding rings. "Always"

I asked them to tell me a little bit about the inspiration for their wedding.

"We're both very down-to-earth, and have grown even more so together. Our motto was 'it's about the marriage, not the wedding,' so we wanted to have a simple ceremony to share with family. We care deeply for the environment, so an outdoor setting, amongst cypress trees that had been there for hundreds of years, matched us perfectly. We tend to avoid extra 'stuff' in our lives, so we weren't interested in any decorations or disposable items. In our daily lives, we gravitate toward lasting items and great experiences; so for us, the most important takeaways were our rings and great photography to capture the memories of a beautiful day."

Kelly's dress was found online, John's suit was found in his closet :) Kelly made her own boquet with flowers she purchased at Whole Foods. And she had her hair and makeup done by Weddings by Crystal and the Rev. Bob Myers married them.
