Sophisticated Sunrise Portraits
I had the pleasure of photographing Morgan's wedding a few years ago, when we met for the first time we hit it off so well and I knew that even once her wedding was over we would remain friends. 2 years later and we still stay in touch, she recently mentioned to me she was turning 30 and wanted to do a photoshoot to commemorate this time in her life. After thinking about some ideas for a few weeks we met up and as we started talking our visions for the shoot seemed to go hand in hand. We had it scheduled and were all set then hurricane Matthew came through and switched it up a bit. The reschedule date was set and we woke up way before the sun to get out to the beach in time. Driving there it was raining most of the way and we could see the trees bending in the wind...we kept on hoping it would clear up. After sitting in the car for a few minutes the rain let up and we headed out. We dogged rain clouds, survived a sudden down pour, fought balloons trying to escape with the wind and laughed a lot. I love how moody the images turned out. Morgan is a Singer and performer and it really shows in her movements in front of the camera. It was hard just to pick a few to share but here are my favorites.
